Personal Testimonies of God
In the scriptures God encourages us
to 'seek His face that we may find Him'. Below are some of the
'testimonies' of people at Grace Christian Fellowship, who have
found that the Lord Jesus Christ is not only their saviour from
sin, but a help and strength in times of trouble, and who is willing
and able to provide all our needs. The following testimonies are by people who have been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, through the ministry of Hope Community Trust.
Paul - " The time I came to know
the Lord was at a crisis. In my life things had gone wrong. I
was like a rough diamond and would not let anyone get near to
me at all. I had been very hurt. The Lord led me to a church that
did not judge and I was led to the Lord. Now I can say I am learning
to trust the Lord and as I do, He is healing me."
"In my distress
I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God. He heard my voice
out of his temple and my cry came before Him
even into his ears." Psalm 18v6

Elizabeth - " I was devastated and depressed
when my husband was made bankrupt. We eventually had to move from
a large house, in a lovely location in the heart of the city,
in a very short space of time. In the midst of financial and emotional
turmoil, not knowing what would happen or where we would live,
the Lord found another house, perfect for us, at just the right
time. During this time, a passage of scripture in the book of
Jeremiah, was my anchor in the storms. I constantly returned to
it over and over again. It tells me that God has His plans for
my life and my welfare and peace of mind. He proved Himself faithful
to His word!
I am learning to know God's will for me, through his word and
finding freedom from the captivity of fear, that held me bound.
Look to the Lord and know Him through His word. He will give you
strength and peace of mind to overcome any difficulties you face."
"For I know
the thoughts I think towards you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace
and not evil, to give you an expected end."Jeremiah
29 v 11

Georgina - "Ever since I can remember,
I have always known that there was someone greater than anything
or anyone else. Someone who could make a difference. When I was
eighteen, I began to suffer from panic attacks. Over the years
they got worse and although there were brief times of freedom,
when they came back, they were always worse. After I moved away
from home, I met some school friends, who had started to go to
a church. There, they played Gospel music, which I liked. One
day I went along and received salvation. The Lord came into my
life and I haven't looked back since! I have never regretted my decision, but I won't pretend things changed for me overnight. In fact, becoming a Christian means a lifelong change and even today, I'm still learning! Since committing my life to Jesus, I have made significant changes. I now have an unending hope and personally I feel more secure, not only with myself but also with the world around me. My panic attacks have all but disappeared and when I do get such a feeling, I understand my thoughts and feelings behind them and can contradict the negative fearful feelings, with scriptures from Gods Word, the Bible. For anyone who is considering giving their lives to Jesus, I would say, you won't regret it! However it does take real commitment and determination, even through the hardest of times.
"All the promises
of God are in Him, 'Yes' and 'Amen', to the glory of God."
2 Corinthians 1v 20

Paul -"My mother died at the age of
fifty six and it was a terrible shock to me. I could not understand
why God had taken her away. She had always been there for me.
I was devastated and stopped believing in God, I did not think
life was worth living. When I finally gave my life to the Lord,
I found a joy and liberty that I had never had before. I have
seen God improve my life in every area, changing my grief into
joy, transforming my wife and saving my son. He has started to
use talents I never knew I had, enabling me to write songs, that
speak of the joy I have found in Him."
"Sing unto the Lord, O ye saints
of His and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness. For
His anger is but for a moment, in His favour is life: weeping
may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."
Psalm 30 v 4-5
